Privacy Policy: Online and Offline

Neil Wilson Career Services LLC (NWCSSLLC) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement explains data collection and use practices of NWCSLLC and the www.neilwilson.com site (the "Site"), as well as some details about inquiries and office practices. By accessing the Site or becoming my client, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this privacy statement.

What is personal information?

Personal information is any information that identifies you, or by which your identity could be deduced. The personal information we collect may include your title, company, name, address, email, categories of interest, comments, and credit card information, if required, for the purchase of services. It can also include notes from an inquiry call and later a client file.

Why are you collecting my personal information?

The information requested on this Site is required to process your request for more information about our services. Access to this information will be restricted to the eyes of Neil Wilson who is responsible for the marketing and delivery of NWCSLLC services. Your client prospect notes and client files will be used as part of my response to your inquiry and later delivery of services.

How will you use my personal information?

The personal information collected on this Site will be used to operate the Site and to provide the service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) you have requested. In support of these uses, NWCSLLC may use personal information to provide you with more effective customer service and/or to provide you with information about other NWCSSLLC products and services.

Do you share any of my personal information?

Absolutely not. Except as otherwise described in this statement, personal information you provide will not be shared with outsiders.

How do you protect my privacy/confidentiality as a client or potential client?

The importance of confidentiality in my work is apparent. If you are an individual or an organization, your needs may differ. In all cases, when you inquire about my work, you can expect that this inquiry will remain confidential.

For that reason, if you are currently employed and wish for your inquiry to remain private, I suggest that you call or email me from your home or personal cell phone or home computer. And I will not call you or email back at work or leave any message there unless you give very specific instructions on how to do so.

In all situations, I prefer to have a phone conversation with all potential clients. I am hoping that you will help us to arrange this before you make any decision regarding hiring me or not, regardless of how many or few emails we may have exchanged. It is important that you have a chance to learn about my services and choose to engage me as your individual coach or as a coach in your organization.

Once we’ve started working together, and you may have met me, how do you continue to protect my privacy?

Regarding office visits, I share an office with four psychotherapists. The office has a waiting area and you may encounter other people waiting there. There is no paid office staff, even though you will notice a window and a spot for staff to sit. Please be seated and wait for me until I come out or arrive and call for you. I do my best to arrange my clients far enough apart so that they do not meet in the waiting room. But I have no control over the others, and no one else there will know my schedule. So please be respectful of the people who you may meet there, and expect that they will be respectful of you. You have no requirement to talk or share anything with anyone there, even if you know them. You will find two restrooms just inside the office door.

Regarding privacy around town: If we meet, after we do I usually avoid attracting attention to my confidential relationship with clients in public places. I may say hello to you, but you are free to talk with me or not. If you prefer that I pretend not to know you, please tell me and I will do my best.

How does NWCSLLC protect the security of my personal information?

NWCSLLC is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal and credit information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. I will keep records of our inquiry, sessions, assessments and contacts. I keep these files in a locked file. I will not share them with anyone without your permission, within the requirements of the law. I will not retain your bank checks or credit card information, except within the secure system of my payment processor.

Are there any other policies, especially regarding finances?

Gift Certificate Policy: Gift certificates are available, and make a unique and appreciated gift in the right situation. They can often be a caring gift for someone who appears to be in a career crisis and you’re looking for a way to encourage them to get help. However, not all recipients will take advantage of the gift. If you request, I will attempt to contact the recipient a few times, at an agreed to number or email. After a few times, I will stop. At that point, I may ask you if should continue. Sometimes recipients will hold on to the certificate for a long time, and finally one day they decide to call me. Gift certificates do not expire. They are also transferable. They are not refundable, however.

Refund Policy: I want you to be completely satisfied with our work. I want you to feel comfortable in telling me both the positives and negatives in our work together so that we can do more effective work together. I will do my best to remedy the situation. Individual completed sessions, pre-paid discount packages, resumes, and gift certificates may be transferable (if unused) but are non refundable. Monthly billed coaching packages can be cancelled with 15 days notice.Policies regarding seminars, when offered, will be part of the seminar information package.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a session for any reason, please do so as soon as possible. I allow one last minute cancellation without additional charge. A second last minute cancellation may be subject to a fee.

Lateness: I expect us to start at close to the scheduled time, and end that way. If I am late, I will do my best to contact you. If I am late, I will do my best to complete a whole session, if possible. I will also do my best to reschedule any time you may miss, or add it back to your account for use later. If you are late, I will wait for you and we will start when you arrive. I reserve the right to shorten our appointment if needed.

Between the sessions work: Some quick questions are free, of course. Anything requiring considerable strategic coaching or resume writing, in office or out, will count as billable time on your account. I will always tell you when the billable time starts.

Travel Expenses: In most cases, I will not charge extra for local travel. If I have to travel far to reach you, I may ask to be reimbursed for travel expenses.

Parent policy: If you parents purchase sessions with me for you, or if you purchase sessions for your child, I will maintain confidentiality for my client.

Referrals; My business survives and thrives on referrals, both in and out. If you like my work, please refer others to me. I am also able to refer you to other related professionals in many cases, such as psychotherapists, recruiters, attorneys and so forth. I gladly make those referrals, but you are responsible for contacting them and following through. However, I am not responsible for their work. In most case, I get no referral fee from these arrangements. If I do, I will let you know.

And my website may link to others. In no way is this an endorsement or guarantee, only a suggestion.

How can I provide comments on your privacy policies/statement?

NWCSLLC welcomes your comments regarding this privacy statement.
