Some
resumes are way too long, what I like to refer to as a historical resume. Others are way too brief or unfocused. We may choose to start by writing a one page summary, a great exercise in determining the most important things that you have to say. Or we may start from scratch; especially if you're just getting started. Or we may work on explaining how your activities in school or volunteer work or raising children can be included to show your talents. We may even decide that your current resume is great just the way it is. I may also suggest that technical people in your field review the
resume as well, to ensure accuracy.
